SEMI-FINALS
My Verdict – Round 1
1. Jordin Sparks (Wishing on a Star)
2. Blake Lewis (Roxanne)
3. Melinda Doolittle (I Believe in You and Me) <<< I don’t understand why everone was so gaga over this performance. It was bad. So bad. — ELIMINATED
My Verdict – Round 2
1. Melinda Doolittle (Nutbush City Limits) — ELIMINATED
2. Jordin Sparks (She Works Hard for the Money)
3. Blake Lewis (This Love) <<< Simon said it wasn’t a copycat performance. Oh come on, it was. Minus the beat boxing at the end, there was nothing new in that peformance. He sang it so Adam-ly.
My Verdict – Round 3
1. Melinda Dolittle (I’m a Woman) — ELIMINATED
2. Jordin Sparks (I Who Have Nothing)
3. Blake Lewis (When I Get You Alone)
I love Melinda so much. She has an amazing control of her voice and yes, she’s the best singer this season. But for Jordin’s sake, I’m happy she’s out of the competition.

Haha. But I must agree, he’s a strong contender.
Top 2:
1. Blake/Chris
2. Jordin
Predictions:
*Sanjaya will be this year’s Jasmine Trias.
*Jordin will win.
yep, Jordin will win. pretty and amazing.
Ba’t walang songs sa Tony Bennett night?
and maalala ko:
Melinda : I Got Rhythm
Sanjaya : Cheek to Cheek
Gina : Smile
haha, wala lang
hindi ko na matandaan kasi. ahahaha.
i bet you like chris… well, the same here… and i also actually liked his “the boss” performance… i think it’s one of his best or maybe i just like him… too bad, we can’t vote for him… from the philippines din po…
OK, i shall change it to “I Got Rhythm” lang. And yes, pare-pareho ang style ni Blake pag kumakanta. Beatboxing is a different story altogether, though.
JORDIN-CHRIS sa finale! Please, America. Jordin for the win.
oh i disagree.
Melinda-Jordin.
and I want Melinda to win.
hehe.
amf! jordin pa rin. Leo, help me here. ahahaha
oh, i was right when i said taylor will win over katharine mcphee. hehe. but we’ll see.
my comments on rock night:
oh, jordin was a v. kalat one. see? that’s why i like melinda, she knows how to control her voice. jordin kasi has a tendency to get shrieky. there was a little bit in you’ll never walk alone which is why i never liked that performance and a LOT in her performance last night. but then again jordin is still in her teens so she has plenty of time to practice.
i liked blake’s performance too. astig.
2 will be out. most likely phil and chris? or possibly phil and lakisha. basta dapat mawala na si phil.
ang galing nga ni melinda last night. i was expecting her to mess up the song kasi i couldnt imagine her as a rocker nga, but no, as in NOOOOO. ang galeng.
oh you. melinda would not mess up because she has awesome control of her voice and being a rocker involves a lot of control.
oh whatever. even if melinda doesn’t win the idol, she’ll still be the best singer in the competition.
hindi kasi ‘to livejournal eh, so tinatamad siguro magcomment! haha. i hate LJ. hahaha
oh, just watched the Barry Gibb night. and here are my comments:
Lakisha – is probably going home tomorrow but we’ll see.
Blake – as much as i loved him last week, i have to say he sucked big time tonight. and i think i know why Blake bothers me now. He has empty eyes.
Jordin – is it me or does Jordin sing the same power ballad every week? C’mon, a little variety now. And she really can’t control her voice that well, however amazing it can be (i.e. 2nd performance)
Melinda – in a perfect world it will be Melinda and Jordin in the final 2 but it still depends on how large Blake’s fanbase is (which I think is really large.) Loved her 2nd performance almost as much as i loved her My Funny Valentine aeons ago. but she probably won’t win.
yeah. I actually hated Jordin nung second performance and adored Melinda. Blake and Lakisha, tsk tsk tsk.
And Blake’s lips are too thin. (Not that i dont like it, haha)
blaaaaaaaaaaaaakkkkkkkkkkeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
isn’t he 5’4!
ahahahahaha. he’s even shorter than Ryan Seacrest.
