Heto na ang last part ng list na ‘to. If you missed the first two parts, click here and here.

9. BITUIN

This may be the first music-oriented teleserye on Pinoy TV. It stars Nora Aunor, Cherie Gil, Desiree del Valle and the girl I miss soooo much Carol Banawa.

Haha.

Wahaha. This show was supposed to put an end to the fantasy craze during the height of Darna’s popularity. Sadly, it failed. Nonetheless, the series proved to be one of ABS-CBN’s most entertaining. Powerhouse cast ito, led by Claudine Barretto. The treatment was somewhat Korean. John Lloyd and Bea here were hilarious. Pero yung finale, medyo lame. Hehe.

7. LOBO

Waaaaaah. Arguably the best fantasy series in Philippine TV history. The keyword there is “arguably.” Haha.

First project ni Angel Locsin as a kapamilya. Haha.

Nakaka-miss lang ang mga puti at itim. At nakakamiss din si Dimples Romana. Haha.

You still remember Lazos? I swear.

Anyway, going back to Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan, nagustuhan ko na ginamit nila yung reincarnation. 2002 and 1902. Refreshing lang. Si Carlos Agassi yung leading man dito, wahaha. At two years ang tinagal ng show na ‘to. Akalain mo, two years na blooming ang career ni Amir. (Shet, nag-rhyme.)

Ehehe. Aminin natin. Sila talaga ang stars nung show na ‘to.

4. BASTA’T KASAMA KITA

Waaaaah. The best Juday teleserye for me. Heto:

In Basta’t Kasama Kita, Judy Ann plays Princess, a young law graduate who, much to the surprise of her family and friends, forgoes a promising career as a lawyer to sign up with the National Bureau of Investigation as a rookie agent. Princess unexpected choice, however, was spurred by her need to know what happened to her father, Godofredo (John Arcilla), an NBI agent who disappeared fifteen years ago, and is now presumed dead. Despite being very young when Godofredo disappeared, and despite the insistence of her mother (Sylvia Sanchez) that he is indeed dead, Princess believes he is still alive – and is determined to find him, no matter what.

Princess’ unusual abilities and background lead her straight to NBI’s top-secret squad, EAGLES (Elite Agents of Government Against Lawless Elements of Society). This in turn, brings her a senior partner, a macho but brilliant veteran agent named Ambet Katindig (Robin Padilla), whose streetsmart exterior hides a softhearted family guy devoted to his mother Nanay Ligaya (Gina Pareño) and his adopted family of misfits (Nikki Valdez, Jiro Manio and Hannah Bustillos). Despite having constant fights with Ambet, Princess eventually realizes that Ambet is a man she can depend on – but can she lower her guard enough to let him into her life?

It didn’t actually feel like a teleserye. Kasi they deal with cases one or two at a time.

In the end, makikita nya yung tatay niya. pero grabe lang yung twist. Hahaha.

3. MAGING SINO KA MAN

I never… said… that I love you. Wahaha.

I’d never been so crazy over a local drama series since Kaytagal Kang Hinintay. Great story. Perfect casting. Wonderful script. Excellent direction. Its performance in the Mega Manila ratings game was not that impressive but who cares about numbers, right? Especially when you get real quality entertainment.

We all know that Bea and John Lloyd are really good actors, so it shouldn’t come to you as a surprise. But Anne Curtis was the real shocker here. I mean, I’ve seen her evolve from doing sexy-but-pffft roles on GMA7 before. I was surprised yet amazed by her performance in Hiram as Stephanie. I thought, that was all she could give. But Anne’s acting in this soap opera was a standout. Wow. She was soo good I’d cried several times in front of the television. She’s bound to be one of the most important actresses of her generation (of course, along with Bea Alonzo, Maja Salvador, and Angelica Panganiban). Obviously, Maging Sino Ka Man turned me into a big Anne Curtis fan. I just adore Celine.

2. SA SANDALING KAILANGAN MO AKO

Mini-series lang ‘to pag Monday night starring Marvin Agustin and Piolo Pascual. Haha. Pero hindi sila yung loveteam. Sayang. Haha.

1. KAYTAGAL KANG HININTAY

Grabe lang. Ang ganda ganda ganda neto. Lorna Tolentino leads a powerhouse cast as twins Lorrea and Lorrinda Guinto aka Red Butterfly. Lorrea accidentally takes the place of her twin in the dangerous world of the drug lords. Andito rin si John Estrada as Boris and Rica Peralejo as Helaena Argos.

This show gave birth to what would prove to be the strongest loveteam of this generation — John Lloyd-Bea.

At yung ending… pamatay!

Yun lang naman. Andaming John Lloyd-Bea shows. Haha. Muntikan pa ngang pumasok ang It Might Be You dyan eh. Hehe. I miss Lawrence and Cielo.
