It’s the awards season once again. Hahaaay. And as usual, the Grammy has all my attention at the moment. Like I said last year, I’m not so sure about how I feel for Grammy. I want them to be unpredictable but whenever they get unpredictable, their being-unpredictable somehow pisses me off. Haha. So I guess the problem’s with me. Yeah, it’s always me.
Anyway, I noticed that there are a significant number of Britons among the nominees this year. British domination, hmmm.
Buzzine.com summarises: “Lil’ Wayne is the top nominee for next February’s 51st Grammy Awards (on CBS), scoring eight nominations, including Album of the Year for his acclaimed and commercially successful Tha Carter III.
Scoring seven nods is Coldplay for its Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, also nominated for Album of the Year, plus Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

With six each are Jay-Z, Ne-Yo and Kanye West; and John Mayer, Radiohead, the team-up Alison Krauss/Robert Plant, and newcomer Jazmine Sullivan are up for five Grammys each.”
Here are some of the nominees with my desires and predictions.

radiohead must win. i’m getting disinterested in coldplay record after record. and the last one didn’t give me much reason to believe otherwise. come on, no matter how good chris martin sounds, it still sounds the same!
yez…I think Viva La Vida is kinda boring while every time I listen to In Rainbows I discover something new that I like. Go Radiohead!
thanks for this post..naexcite na naman ako sa Grammy’s! bakit ba nandun ang JOnas Brothers??? hahaha! i hate them. hahaha!
Gusto ko ang Jonas Brothers, K? hahaha. pero nagulat din ako na nominated sila.
It’s going to be Coldplay all over. Adele for BNA. Alicia Keys for her single nomination. Beyonce for that OLD, OLD song (was it really qualified in the first place?). And Norah Jones. And she didn’t even get nominated or something, right?
If LeAnn Rimes wins the Best Female Country – there might be hope for the Grammys.
Feeling ko rin, Coldplay all over.
Beyonce, malabo. Old song, yes, but it’s the “Live” version that is nominated. Last year lang yun nirelease, part nung concert album nya yata. Not sure though.
I loove LeAnn, pero Carrie pa rin. Haha. Go for 4!
pano ba nadedetermine ung winner sa grammys?? who gets to vote kung sino mananalo?
members of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (or The Recording Academy)
Man, I’ve lost faith with the Grammy’s a long time ago. They just don’t dig enough to find the gold. Just take a look at the Best Rock Album category. They cam up with Kid Rock but no TV On The Radio, Fleet Foxes, or MGMT? Album of the Year too, Raising Sand and In Rainbows were both released in 2007. That’s like a year late.
yeah, im starting to lose it, too. since Norah Jones swept the awards a few years back. I love Norah Jones but there were some awards, that in my opinion, should have been given to others.
oh well. haha
I sooooooooooooooo love No Air!!! It shall win! LOL
I like I Kissed A Girl too. Naughty, naughty. Hahaha
I’m also rooting for Womanizer. I so love the rhythm and the video. And the guy, forgot the name but I know he’s ‘The Thing’ in the movie Fantastic Four,’ is like sooooooo hot. LOL
Mukhang hindi mananalo ang No Air, malabo.
Si Katy Perry, kahit papano may laban.
Hindi pwede hindi manalo ang No Air. Mananalo un. Sabi sakin ng instinct ko. :p
Sana merong best comeback award. Si Britney un! LOL
I love Viva La Vida and American Boy, and yeah, I think Coldplay’ll win some awards for music this year.
yeah, mukha nang manghahakot sila.
AMERICAN BOOOY!!!! Gustung-gusto ko rin yan.
I’ll go for Duffy for The Best New Artist.
NOOOOOOOO. haha.
why wont you release me? mercy mercy, hahaha, im addicted to that song…
“yeah, yeah, yeah…”
haha. back-up singer.
ooh oooh, hope coldplay wins! i luuurve coldplay.. hope john mayer wins too!!
hey, i came across a site with a list of “singers who can’t sing”… Kanye West and Chris Brown are on the list.. hrmmm.. yet they’re nominated.. big deal ma-nominate diba?
gawa ka din ng list.. hihihi…

hrmp.. kala na naman, spam ako.. ganun ba tlaga pag may link sa msg.. arr..
Yeah, way to go Rascal Flatts!
The Grammys! I’d go for Leona Lewis in any category she is in and also for Jason Mraz. He’s on my ringback tone. You’d know if you’d ever call me. Haha. I bought Leona’s cd though. Actually bought the real thing and it is good. And Keyshia Cole for best female R&B. Other categories I don’t care about.
Never listened to Coldplay though . . . Nice predictions though.
MAKI! Trew! Rascal Flatts fan ka rin?
Ang ganda ng ‘God bless the broken road’ tsaka ‘What hurts the most’ nila. Pang-hopeless romantic.. hehe.
wow!!! leona lewis gogogogog.

trew, haha. love the jonas brothers (kevin ftw) but hindi nga sila dapat andun. haha
waaah!!! im so happy for jason mraz and neyo!
thanks yoshke for this post.
And Best Female Pop siguro.
