The recently crowned Binibining Pilipinas - Universe Anna Theresa Licaros has always been a scene-stealer. Back in college, we both were members of UP Broadcasters’ Guild. It’s just that she was a sort of inactive member when I was pretty active so I wasn’t really close to her. Tere was a summa cum laude (of the batch before us), and if I’m not mistaken, the college valedictorian that year. During the coronation night, she continued to put everyone in awe. After grabbing most of the special awards, she blew the last piece of sanity away from me with her very impressive answer to a judge’s question. Whew. And if that’s not enough, she’s a law student. Hot or not?!

Next on my Certified Hotties list is someone I always see on TV, Oli Pettigrew. If you have no idea who the hell he is, let me give you a picture:

The first time I saw Oli was just last year when he hosted the World Cyber Games in Singapore. Since then, I’ve been seeing a lot of him as he hosts Animax Channel’s Technomax where he features newly-released gadgets, and some techie stuff. I’m an anime lover, hence an Animax Channel addict. But since he got the job of hosting a segment shown almost every other commercial break, there’s no switching channels. I’m starting a new category called Certified Hotties, where I will feature individuals who I think make anyone’s temperature rise to unimaginable level. And let me start with the devil’s second assistant-turned-first assistant-turned-second. Haha. I’m referring to her character in the movie, The Devil Wears Prada. Meryl Streep may have amazed everyone, but Emily Blunt is somebody you cannot ignore in that movie. In fact, this Brit was a Golden Globe nominee for that film. She went home losing to Jennifer Hudson but not empty-handed. She was awarded Best Supporting Actress in a mini-series or TV movie. And that’s something.
