SM Megamall
Andre, Shy Guy and I were walking around looking for a place to have dinner at when we passed by Petit Monde. The store’s facade is covered with huge posters of Carmen Soo.
Yoshke: Nagagandahan ba kayo kay Carmen Soo?
Shy Guy: Oo. OK lang. Bakit, ikaw?
Yoshke: Oo naman. Ikaw, Andre?
Andre: Oo namaaan. Iba kasi eh. Simpleng ganda lang. Parang… parang… parang ako.
Hala. Maganda daw sya!
Trinoma
Days after the Carmen Soo incident, Andre and I found ourselves in Trinoma. I forgot why we were there (but I swear it wasn’t bird-watching). Anyway, this time, we passed by Bench where a poster showcasing the buffed physique and nakaka-ihing sex appeal ni Gerald Anderson in a sleeveless shirt, his hands under his head, his armpits exposed.
Andre: (squeezing may left shoulder) Gaaaaaah. Eeeeeeh.
Yoshke: O ano na naman?
Andre: Ang sarap naman ng kili-kili ni Gerald… Parang gusto ko dun tumira…
Go lang! Tumira ka sa kili-kili ni Gerald Anderson! Hindi kita pipigilan!
Bahay Lang
We were killing time at the living area. I was about to go upstairs when I heard Andre whining, almost whimpering.
“Bakit ka ganyaaaan?!?! Waaah. Kinalimutan na kita eh! Kinalimutan na kitaaaaa! Si Enchong na ang mahal ko eh.”
Andre was watching Tayong Dalawa. He was talking to Jake Cuenca. Well, technically, he was talking to the TV set.
Bahay Lang Ulit
Just after lunch, Andre and I were smoking outside the apartment building when an old fish vendor passed by. She was an old woman who was walking so slowly, pushing a cart of fish. On top of the cart sat a weighing scale with a little metal basin crowning it.
Suddenly, the metal basin dropped from the cart. The old woman didn’t even notice. I didn’t, either. Andre did!
Andre exclaimed, “Naku, yung kemelar-boom-boom ni Lola, nahulog.”
I was yet to figure out what actually fell off but Andre rushed to the scene, picked up the basin, ran towards the old woman, and said, “Lola, yung kemelar-boom-boom nyo po nahulog.”
In fairness kay Lola, naintindihan nya ang kemelar-boom-boom!
Kudos to Andre. It was the first act of kindness I’d seen him do. Haha. Bitch no more.
