The other night, my sister-in-law and I were talking about the fruits we enjoyed munching on growing up. I mentioned that while I loooove all fruits — there’s only one that comes to mind that I don’t particularly like — MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITES are coconut, langka (jackfruit), melon, mango, pineapple, avocado, guyabano, and lanzones.

My mom must have heard our conversation because the next morning, I found avocados and mangoes on the table, langka and pineapple in the ref, and buko salad in the freezer.

Touched, I immediately went to my mom and told her, “NAY, BAKIT KULANG?!” 🤣
