Top 7 Embarrassing Travel Experiences to Avoid

Murphy’s Law doesn’t care about you. Murphy can get you anywhere, anytime. He doesn’t care whether you’re at home, at work or having the time of your life while traveling. Unfortunate events may hit you and ultimately ruin your supposedly relaxing day. So it’s better to be prepared even when traveling — especially when traveling.…

Skydive For Life

Skydive For Life. What is it, eh? Let’s just say that my former co-worker Elvin Uy has always wanted to try skydiving but would not have enough courage to skydive just for the sake of. So let’s put some cause into his dream adventure. We’ll give him enough ego boost but on the way down, we’ll be able to help him help a cancer patient via Cancer Warriors Foundation.

Asian Countries According to Their Tourism Logos

And of course, the controversial proposed slogan and logo for Philippine Tourism: I had nothing to say. But after reading blogger Spanky Enriquez‘s blog post about it, I have something to repost. This is the logo of the Polish Tourism campaign. They pretty much say what I have to say. But I wonder what Poland has to say about it. I actually liked ‘Wow Philippines!” I just wish instead of spending so much money and time on the rebranding, why not actually promote it.

The Promil Kids Hit Hong Kong!

My mother doesn’t travel. The farthest my mother had reached was Lucena City in Quezon. She had never boarded a plane or a ship. We used to be extremely poor. We literally experienced “magdildil ng asin.” I remember eating just rice and cooking oil with a little bit of soy sauce for our full meal.…

Remembering ‘Iisa Pa Lamang’

At any given time, I am hooked to one, just one, teleserye. Right now, it’s Imortal. Before that, it was Magkaribal. And as I was looking back, trying to remember other teleseryes that got my eyes glued to the boobtube (Tayong Dalawa, Maging Sino Ka Man, Lobo, Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay, Kung Mawawala Ka, Pangako Sa’Yo), I felt like I missed something. I spent minutes trying to figure it out and at last it dawned on me. It’s been over two years since the conclusion of teleserye Iisa Pa Lamang. It wouldn’t be on my list of the best drama…

The Other Promil Kids

I have been receiving a lot of emails about the Promil Kid from my readers. If only my nephew could blog, I think he would create his own (which is just right since he has been outshining me here on MY OWN blog, LOL). Or, when he reaches the right age, he’ll ask for his share of whatever I earn from this blog (which he will never get). Anyway, whenever my friends and I meet, they always ask how my nephew is doing or whether there will be any Promil Kid posts anytime soon. See, he’s stealing my friends, too!…

Something beautiful happened over the weekend. Last Sunday afternoon, October 24, 2010, members of Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA), along with their friends and supporters, came together at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles to work on a project. They were to touch lives with the best way they knew — singing. That afternoon, they produced this incredible video.

8 Years After Getting ‘Stripped’: Christina Aguilera

Almost exactly eight years ago, Christina Aguilera‘s sophomore album “Stripped” was released. This record was said to be Aguilera’s first attempt to break free from her tired bubblegum image and take control of her career. With a newly found artistic freedom, Aguilera introduced to us music that was very different from songs from her Genie in a Bottle days. And hoping to generate buzz, Dirrty was chosen as the first single. It generated buzz, alright. But the wrong kind. Dirrty, the song and the music video, and the album Stripped were released to a not very welcoming market and critics.…
